Position Specific Responsibilities:
Familiarity with the following: Professional Educator Standards Board, Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction, and edTPA requirements and standards.
Teach Early Childhood Education courses grounded in developmental theory and teaching methodologies.
Work with faculty, administration and partnerships to promote the ECE program.
Respond to teaching and learning practices using data, assessment and analysis.
Build professional relationships with mentor teachers, and other school district personnel.
Participate on advisory board.
Use a variety of active teaching strategies using disciplinary knowledge; diverse theories, and issues and trends in early learning.
Build relationships with students through advising, teaching and mentoring from recruitment through completion.
Minimum Qualifications and Competencies
Master's degree or higher in Education, Early Childhood Education, and/or Special Education
Three (3) years of teaching experience working with young children in a child care setting.
Experience teaching and developing curriculum related to Special Education and models of integration.
