The Lead Teacher supports the mission of the Campus Child Center by working collaboratively with colleagues to design and implement an inclusive and supportive curriculum based on the interests and needs of children ranging in age one to five, to assist in the day-to-day maintenance of the center facility, to provide training for student staff and parent education to families served, and to learn, uphold, and follow all of the state licensing and national accreditation regulations stipulated for group child care.
• Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Special Education, Child Development or degree in related field • Demonstrate a strong commitment to creating an inclusive, supportive, developmentally appropriate learning environment for the children served. • One year of experience in an early childhood setting.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Special Education, Child Development or degree in related field. • Previous experience in a nationally accredited early childhood setting. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Demonstrate experience working in a team environment. • Display an appreciation of the role families play in a child’s development. • Value the importance of play in child development.
• Ability to lift and carry 20-30#. • Routine stopping, bending, walking, running, and crouching. • Ability to sit on the floor or in a small chair situated low to the floor.
