The School of Education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill invites applications for multiple open rank, non tenure-track, research faculty positions. We are seeking research faculty with expertise in biopsychosocial development in early childhood, educational technology, evaluation, improvement science, science of reading or special education. The proposed start date is July 1, 2023 and is negotiable.
Candidates will (a.) pursue and maintain an active, externally funded research program; (b.) cover most of their salary on direct grant expenditures; (c.) build on and support collaborative, strategic and interdisciplinary initiatives across the School and campus; (d.) engage with doctoral students' research committees; and (e.) provide leadership and service at the school, state, and national levels. The School of Education will negotiate bridge funding as needed and will cover a portion of successful candidates' salaries toward their service activities and/or engagement with doctoral students' research.
