The Hallie E. Ford Center for Healthy Children and Families in the College of Health is seeking a salaried Academic Wage: Training Outreach Coordinator for Inclusion Initiative. This is a full-time (1.00 FTE), 12-month, fixed-term position. This position is anticipated to last approximately 10 months.
The purpose of this position is to serve as an Outreach Coordinator in the outreach, development, implementation, and support of training and professional development opportunities for a new grant related to development of a Pyramid Model and early childhood inclusion modules for the state of Oregon. This position will serve as an Outreach Coordinator on the implementation team, led by the Implementation Manager for the Inclusion Initiative, to conduct community engagement, implement practices, create web-based learning modules, and host key events—all to sustainably implement practices that advance inclusion in Oregon. These practices are focused on the Pyramid Model (https://challengingbehavior.org/) and inclusion indicators framework (https://ectacenter.org/topics/inclusion/indicators.asp).
This position will also support alignment, communication and partnership across the early childhood professional development system and existing systems within the state, including the Oregon Department of Education (ODE), Department of Early Learning and Care (DELC), and other system partners. The Outreach Coordinator will work closely with the OSU and ODE project leadership, as well as in partnership with OSU's Early Learning System Initiative (ELSI), to develop professional development efforts that are aimed to sustainability implement practices that advance inclusion in Oregon.
The Outreach Coordinator will work with a leadership team housed at OSU along with the project PI to outline a plan for ongoing training support. Outreach Coordinators will support diverse groups of educators and partners in English and Spanish and thus bilingual/bi-literate/bi-cultural individuals will be prioritized.
The defined qualifications will need to be identified in the Minimum/Required Qualifications field.
Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in Human Development and Family Sciences, Psychology, Sociology, Education, Early Childhood Education, Early Childhood Special Education or field directly related to the work of the project.
Experience developing and/or implementing professional development resources and training for the early childhood workforce.
Prior experience implementing Pyramid Model and/or knowledge of inclusion practices and indicators.
Strong oral and written English communication skills.
Exceptional interpersonal skills.
Experience teaching and/or supporting educators in early care and education settings.
A demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate effectively in an environment with limited supervision.
Ability to effectively communicate project goals clearly to a wide variety of audiences.
Experience coordinating projects with multiple partners and deadlines.
Highly self-motivated.
Strong organizational skills.
This position requires driving a university vehicle or a personal vehicle on behalf of the university; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a motor vehicle history check, possess and maintain a current, valid driver's license in their state of residence, be determined to be position qualified and self-report convictions as per University Policy 05-030.

This position requires driving/travel to attend meetings and meet with stakeholders.
This position will be required to travel to the OSU Campus in Corvallis, OR approximately 8 times/year to attend in person meetings, deliver workshops in person, etc.
This is a remote position for an employee who resides within Oregon.
