A candidate will need to be able to teach part-time, Early Childhood Education/Early Childhood Intervention Specialist courses. Teaching opportunities will be based on need each semester.
Course availability may include the following: Teaching Young Children Best Practices, Educating the Whole Child, Cross-Curricular Applications, Teaching of Mathematics, Teaching Science, Social Studies for Young Children, Assessing Learning in Early Childhood, Language Arts in Early Years, and Student Teaching Seminar.
The Department of Teacher Education Programs sets high standards for its teacher candidates. They are guided by highly-qualified faculty members to become effective teachers in today?s classrooms. The Ohio Standards for the Teaching Profession ensure that teacher candidates receive a quality education that prepares them to enter the world of teaching.
Plans, organizes, teaches, and provides feedback to promote and direct student success. Responds to students promptly. Communicates with students, departments, and university officials via university-provided tools and resources.
Ability to contribute to the diversity, cultural sensitivity, and excellence of the University community through teaching.

Minimum Qualifications: At least a combination of a Bachelor?s degree and a Master?s degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education. Minimum of three years of teaching experience in grades P-3 and/or Special Education. Must hold a current teaching license. Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Preferred Qualifications: Terminal degree. College teaching experience. Understanding of accreditation process. Knowledge of technology as used in teaching. Any combination of the following degrees: Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Early Childhood Intervention Specialist, and/or Special Education.
