COORDINATOR – SPECIAL EDUCATION, IDENTIFICATION AND EARLY INTERVENTION
The Position Under the direction of the Director of Special Education, the Coordinator of Special Education, Identification and Early Intervention shall direct, supervise, plan, and coordinate districtwide identification and early intervention systems for students suspected of having disabilities. This position leads the development, implementation, and monitoring of legally compliant, educationally sound referral and assessment pathways with a specific focus on preschool and speech and language, the primary entry points into special education. The Coordinator ensures students are appropriately supported through best first instruction, general education interventions, and Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) prior to referral for special education
