Description: Oakton College is looking for an enthusiastic Part-Time Onsite Job Coach to assist with students who are participating in a Gateways Level 1 Early Childhood Education program. This program provides neurodiverse students who are enrolled in transitional programs, with an opportunity to have a paid internship in the early childhood education industry. In this short-term position, the Onsite Job Coach will assist daycare staff with guiding and managing students during their 4-week engagement.
Essential Functions of the Position: ? The primary role of this position is to assist in maintaining an environment conducive to learning and working ? Assist daycare staff with student management ? Work collaboratively with facility Director and Managers
Job Requirements:
Illinois Paraprofessional license, substitute teaching license, professional Educator license, or Certified Behavioral Therapist
Experience assisting with special education students
Willing and able to meet the needs of students
Must be enthusiastic about working with a special needs population
Willingness to learn and assist in the evolution of this new pilot program
Additional Information:
Training Dates: November 18 - December 18, 2025 Location: New Trier Childcare Center (Bright Horizons Northfield) Days/Times: Mondays and Wednesdays 9:00am-11:00am and 11:00am -1:00pm Pay: $25/hr.

Illinois has tax agreements with these reciprocal states. Employees may have their primary residence in Indiana since Indiana is adjacent to Illinois.
